Behind the Support Scenes & Into the Flexiverse

Hello Flex Universe (Flexiverse!) My name is Anne and I am a Flex Rental Solutions Level 1 Support Technician. Life in support is a roller coaster, or as The Band would say, a carnival! There are good and bad days, easy tickets, and the occasional head scratcher that leaves me staring into my lava lamp looking for answers.

First Concert: Heart ‘Dog and Butterfly’ tour at Aloha Stadium in Hawai’i, The Beach Boys opened when I was in the 3rd grade – 1979. I convinced my godfather to take me. I was super stoked!

Favourite (that’s right – with a “u”!) Concert: Ronnie James Dio, Dokken and Yngwie Malmsteen opened, 1986. I miss you Ronnie!!

So now you’ve met the “official” faces of Flex support, but support doesn’t really end with the four of us. I’m sure many of you have had help from our amazing Nick Nazario in Training. Nick is always ready to save the day and more than happy to help the support team at a moment’s notice. Nick is often the first person you will interact with at Flex when you do your onboarding training. But Nick is always around and ready with some additional training and tips and tricks!

We all have different backgrounds and different stories, but we all come together to help you. We are going to start sharing more stories from the Support Team. Our goal is to show you a glimpse behind-the-scenes. After all, we’re in the event business, who doesn’t love a bit of BTS content?!?. Think of this blog like a series of stories with a life lesson at the end except instead, it’s a Flex lesson! Yeah, and maybe a life lesson every now and then, too. Not only will you learn more about the software, but also about the people who create, run, maintain, and love it every day so that we can help you succeed and have the best possible experiences.

Flex is a well oiled machine filled with wonderful people. It is by far the best company I have ever worked for, and it is my co-workers who make it so. To us, our job is an art. We are simply using non-conventional tools; Flex as our canvas and code as our paint. As Bob Ross so lovingly says, there are “happy little accidents” that happen when you are making art. By using all of our different brushes and tools, we are able to turn that happy little accident into a happy little tree!…I mean a happy little workflow!!

We look forward to giving you all a glimpse into the Flex family and all its lovely members! I get to know them more and more every single day and I am so grateful that I am part of this team. And with that, I would like to welcome you behind the scenes of our Flex family.
